Kudos to the owner for driving with the top down in current temperatures.

I have never seen a 304 in person. :(

Or the Netherlands. The guy running the wrench club building I’m a member of owns a 304 convertible.

And I’ve never seen one in good condition, the only one I see almost daily is a black 304 convertible with missing parts.

As long as the sun’s out, why not though.

Gorgeous 304 Cabriolet! :D

I love the 504 (which you still see very rarely sold here in classic car circles in Canada), but I’ve always loved the slightly more curvy lines of the 304, and especially the 204! :)

The 504 is my favorite, but yeah the smaller ones are great too! Especially in green over tan like this, which is pretty much perfect!

Agreed! :) The 304 and 204 were never sold here in a Canada that I know of, but I think I like the styling of the 204 the best, although I’ve read that it is a bit undergeared and underpowered for modern driving...

I have a 204 Cabriolet but it’s not yet in running condition. I have had several cars with similar power to weight ratio and it hasn’t caused me worries. I did get a 304S engine with the car so some extra performance is available if the original engine is too lazy.

It’s mostly underpowered from what I’ve read on modern highways (where you’re expected to go 100-120kph. It’s not that the car couldn’t do it, I guess, it’s just that it took awhile to get there with most of the non-sporty engine variants, and that the gearing meant they were very buzzy and loud.

I’d still be perfectly fine with one, and I could be wrong....I’ve sadly never seen a 204, 304 or 504 in person in my life, and am just going by what I’ve read online!

Awesome to hear you have a 204 Cabriolet! Not sure where you’re at, but I imagine you’re far from me here in Nova Scotia, Canada, else I’d love to meet up and see it someday! :)

I’m pretty sure that at 120 km/h the engine will be running at very high speed (I know the gear ratios and the tire size so I could calculate this...) but I’m probably be fine at lower speeds. I’m not in hurry if I’m driving a cabriolet...

I’m located in Finland. I think there’s another 204 Cabriolet here and couple of 304 Cabriolets too. Mine has been imported from Sweden as a rusty project in ‘98. Currently the floor has some places to patch up but soon I can start putting it back together. The rear wheel arches are a mismatched pair as neither of them is from a 204.

Awesome that you have a hard top for it! Fun looking little ride, best of luck restoring her! :D

The hardtop is good to have indeed. The soft top top isn’t doing very well and a new will cost more than I paid for the car. But it’s still a positive thing that a new one is available.

I’m first putting it back on the road and start worrying about the rough appearance later.
